By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or commissioning our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

We present these terms in two parts: website terms that apply to your use of the site and service terms that apply when you agree for us to undertake works at your property.

Definitions

"Client", "you" and "your" refers to the person or organisation using our website or booking our services. "Company", "we", "our" and "us" refers to Boilers & Aircon Milton Keynes. "Agreement" means the contract formed when you accept our estimate or place an order for services. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Service Terms & Conditions

The following conditions apply to all quotations, estimates, and works provided by Boilers & Aircon Milton Keynes in addition to any bespoke terms stated on your estimate:

1. We take reasonable care while working, but we cannot accept responsibility for faults or failures in existing pipework, fittings, or equipment that arise due to necessary disturbance of the existing installation.
2. Our estimates are based on non-intrusive surveys. We assume existing systems we connect to are sound. If faults become apparent during the works, we may charge for corrective work. Undisclosed issues may also incur additional costs.
3. Dismantling, clearing, or reinstating fitted cupboards or similar fixtures is not included unless expressly stated and will be charged as an extra if required.
4. Where we must lift carpets or floor coverings, we will relay them on completion but do not allow for re-stretching or fixing. Reinstating thermoplastic tiles, vinyl, cork, or laminate coverings is excluded unless specified.
5. Water, gas, or electrical services may need to be isolated during the works. We will advise you in advance and keep isolation periods as short as practicable.
6. We will make good holes we create, but decorating or matching brickwork (including old flue positions) is not included.
7. Casing-in of pipework or painting and decorating of new works is excluded unless noted in the estimate.
8. You must provide unrestricted access to all relevant areas. Delays caused by restricted access not disclosed during the survey may result in additional charges or revised timings.
9. Where other trades outside our control are involved, delays they cause may lead to extra charges and/or revised completion dates.
10. Unless stated, works will be completed in one continuous visit. Client-requested additional visits or delays beyond our control may incur surcharges and affect completion dates.
11. Materials supplied remain our property until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to recover materials or take legal action to secure payment.
12. Out-of-hours working is not included unless specified or required for our own scheduling.
13. Start dates and durations are provided in good faith and may vary due to unforeseen events such as emergency callouts or breakdowns. We accept no liability if client timescales cannot be met for reasons beyond our control.
14. Our workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months from completion against faulty design or installation. Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty. Existing systems or equipment are excluded and your statutory rights remain unaffected.
15. If a specified product is unavailable, we may supply an equivalent item of equal suitability.
16. Items supplied by you or others will be inspected with you on site. Faulty or damaged items remain your responsibility to replace. Delays caused by such issues may be chargeable and could require us to leave site.
17. Additional works requested while we are on site will be quoted separately. We will obtain your agreement before proceeding.
18. Our estimate is open for acceptance for 30 days and assumes works start within 90 days of the estimate date. After these periods we may revise or withdraw the offer.
19. Payment terms are as stated on the estimate and must be met. We reserve the right to charge interest at 5% above Lloyds TSB Bank plc’s current base rate per month on overdue accounts.
20. The estimate price excludes removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos. Such work will incur additional charges.
21. Accepting our estimate confirms your acceptance of these terms.
22. Before gas works commence we will carry out a gas soundness test. Remedial work required to rectify faults found will be charged separately.
23. If a powerflush is included, the process may expose weaknesses in an existing system. Any resulting remedial work will be chargeable and a waiver will be signed to confirm your understanding.
24. When connecting a new combination boiler to an existing system, the higher operating pressure may reveal existing faults. Repairs required are not included and a waiver will confirm your agreement.
25. Parking or Controlled Parking Zone fees incurred while delivering the works will be recharged at cost.
26. You are responsible for keeping children and pets away from work areas while we are on site.
27. If works are carried out at a leasehold property, you must obtain all necessary permissions from the freeholder or managing agent. We accept no responsibility for works undertaken without the required approvals, though we can provide project details if needed.
